CITIZENS FOR CHARLESWOOD HABITAT PRESERVATION

Who we are:
We are a group of Charleswood residents concerned about the planned development of an 800 acre area in southern Charleswood known as Ridgewood South Precinct. We hope to minimize the impact on the natural flora and fauna of the area, preserve access to nature and the ‘country feel’ of the area that residents have always enjoyed.
Our Mission Statement:
o To provide a voice for citizens to preserve the natural habitat in the Charleswood
Ridgewood South Precinct Plan
o To influence the planning and development of the infrastructure and configuration
of the precinct plan
o To ensure the plan incorporates sustainable development principles as follows:
• Maintain/restore landscape processes and functions
• Minimize development impacts on ecosystems and enhance/create greenways
• Protect natural resources and resource lands for future generations
